The Maillon Rapide Standard is extremely strong when loaded along the long axis. Suitable for anchor connections and rigging connections.
The original oval shaped Maillon was developed on the principle of a chain link fitted with a manual nut opening. Also known as the standard or normal Maillon, the Oval Maillon Rapide is a strong, robust and safe connector used in many systems. While slower to open and close than a carabiner, Maillons can be more secure when tightened down — and they cost less than a karabiner as well.

EN 362 : 2004 standard – industrial PPE : fall arrest systems, work restraint, work positioning, rope access
EN 12275 : 2013 standard – mountaineering PPE : rock climbing, climbing walls, caving, canyoning
